December 2014
Once again Bear, Tim and Pete would like to thank our fans and country music clubs that have made this year such a pleasurable one for Bear Faced Country. We hope you all have a great Christmas and a healthy and prosperous new year. We have enjoyed playing at many wonderful and welcoming venues all over the country and hope to see you all again in 2015, so until then, have a lovely holiday and don't forget... Keep it Country!
August 2014
Hooray, it's finally here! Our latest album "Traditionally Yours..." has arrived back from the CD pressing people and is available now by post or at gigs. It took a little longer than expected due to technical issues, but we think it is well worth the wait and hope all who have pre ordered it will enjoy listening to our latest offering as much as we enjoyed making it.
June 2014
The CD has been recorded, mastered and sent for pressing so it won't be long until "Traditionally Yours..." will be available folks.
April 2014
Bear, Tim & Pancho are very proud and grateful to have been voted Band/Trio of the year 2013 by Ocean View CMC in Westward Ho! Devon. We would like to thank everyone who voted for us and will see you all again soon.
March 2014
We were all gearing up for Bears Knee operation on the 11th of April when during a break in the recording of our next album, he recieved a phone call to say there has been a cancellation, and would he be prepared to have it on the 12th March! Best laid plans and all... so we have had to arrange a dep. bass player for a couple of gigs until "The Bear" is back on his feet.
Update... The Bear has had his 2nd Knee operation and is recovering well and should be back on stage very shortly. Tim and I knew Bear has many friends out there in "Country music" land, but we were surprised at just how many! Thanks to all of you asking to pass on your best wishes, we have done that, and he is very grateful.
January 2014
Well here we are at the start of another new year and wondering what 2014 will bring to a gigging band! We trust everyone had a good time over the holiday period and are ready to support your local country music clubs for another year. We have had four excellent gigs to get the year up and running. The Golden Eagle in Tring, Lonesome Dove in Cornwall, Silver Churn in Dartington and Lonestar in West Buckland. Thank you all for such a great way to kick off the new year, long may it continue! The Bear is now back where he belongs, having a laugh with the audience and keeping Tim and Pancho guessing what's coming next.
December 2013
Bear, Tim and I would like to thank all the club promoters that have booked us during 2013 and wish them all a happy Christmas and a prosperous new year. Also, a big thank you goes out to all the club reporters that have written so many kind words about Bear Faced Country during the year, it really does make it all worth while.
Once again, we would like to take this opportunity to thank the people that turn up at the clubs week in week out to support country music in the UK. Without you there would be no country music scene so as the saying goes... use it or loose it. We would also like to thank all the people who have bought CDs as this really does help to put fuel in the tank. We look forward to seeing you all again in 2014.
November 2013
Tim and I would like to thank all the people who have wished Pete the Bear a speedy recovery from his car accident on the way to a gig on the 16th of November. Unfortunately the broken shoulder blade he sustained will curtail his bass playing for a short while, but knowing the Bear as Tim and I do, we are sure he will want to be back playing much sooner than his doctors will suggest. We will honour our gigs with a dep bass player until Pete is fit enough to get back upon the stage with us where he belongs. We would like to thank the very talented Mr. Kevin Fairburn for standing in at VERY short notice. Within one and a half hours of getting the call he was on stage performing. What a star!
February 2013

Tim is settling in to B.F.C. very well and has passed the trial period!!! Tim has worked EXTREMELY hard in getting up to speed with the current set list. It won't be long until we all have to start learning all over again as some "new" songs are in the pipeline.
March 2012
B.F.C. are pleased to announce that Tim Fish has joined the band on a permanent basis as Lead Guitar/Pedal Steel Guitarist and Vocalist.

February 2012
We had a great time at Plymouth CMC in the Matchroom Suite on the 25th. We had the pleasure of having the very talented Country Gent, Mr Dave Cawes on the drums. What a treat it was to have him on stage for the final set. Thanks Dave.
I would also like to take this opportunity to say a HUGE thank you to Mike Willis for standing in on lead guitar for the last couple of months. Mike stepped in at short notice and helped us out of a very big hole and we will always be grateful. Thanks Mike.
January 2012
We would like to send a BIG thank you to Jim Pritchard for standing in on steel guitar at VERY short notice at the Bluebird Silver Dollar Mk2. Jim took a bit of stick at times from the audience, but I was assured this was quite normal! It all helped to create a great night as is usual at this very friendly club. We look forward to seeing you all again in October.
December 2011
We would like to say a BIG THANKYOU to all the promoters of clubs and festivals that we have had the pleasure of playing at during 2011. And of course, a very special thankyou goes out to all our fans for all your loyal support. Merry Christmas and a happy and prosperous new year to you all.
The Bear is back on stage, and only 16 days after a knee replacement operation. What a trooper!!! It was "a little uncomfortable" for him to say the least, but he didn't want to let his adoring fans down and vowed that the show MUST go on.
Pancho Pete is off to Australia at the end of December to reacquaint himself with some old buddies and try to take in some good ol' Aussie country music (along with some sun of course). He will be back at the end of January just in time for the Bluebird Silver Dollar MkII gig in Longham, Bournemouth. We'd love to see you there.
October/November 2011
We were featured on UKcountryradio.com on Friday November 25th through to Sunday 27th you can click on the link, tune in folks and have a listen to some UK country. Our interveiw can be heard by searching their archives.
It is our sad news to announce that with immediate affect, Nigel has decided to leave the band. This is due to work and family commitments. Both Pete & Bear will miss Nige and wish him well for the future in what ever he may do.
In the short term we have Mike Willis - formally of the Kelvin Henderson band - standing in on lead guitar, and what a great job he is doing!
As for the long term... Watch this space
